3-D simulation
LAGLASSE & OMHOVERE has invested in realistic 3-D environmental simulation software. This can be used, for instance, in feasibility studies, offering an additional resource for consultations with politicians and local residents. The software allows a 3-D model to be created in which we can simulate buildings and woodland together with all existing and planned power line structures. All the georeferenced data can of course be fully integrated with these simulations. They can be exploited in real time or used for presentation videos.
Project in New Caledonia
One of Enercal’s priority missions is the energy transition. To help it achieve that, we were involved with the plan to upgrade the Grande Terre high-voltage grid:
- technical feasibility (basic engineering design)
- updating documentation (in particular the longitudinal profile)
- studies to secure 67km of overhead lines (preliminary and detailed preliminary design)
- development of reinforcement and height extension kits
- development of supports (project study)
- definition of project procedures, scheduling, and overall costing (project study)
- support during contractor consultation and negotiation of related tenders (awarding contracts of works)
- monitoring and inspection of the worksite over a period of 18 months (execution)
- site acceptance and resolution of non-conformities (acceptance inspections)
Project in Corsica
The SOCOI 3 project marks a new level of solidarity between the French and Italian power line operators (RTE and TERNA respectively), doubling the capacity of this key link in Corsica’s electricity supply.
LAGLASSE & OMHOVERE worked for RODA to study the two buried sections on land:
- from the Lucciana substation to the landfall site (approx. 8km)
- from the Bonifacio substation to the landfall site (approx. 2km)
Training
As part of our recruitment programme, we’ve developed an in-house training unit covering a range of solutions, notably PLS-CADD.
We’re keen to share our expertise, too: these trainings are also available to third parties such as 5RTE, ENERCAL, contractor consortiums, and others.
